Teacher: Nathan Hamre Series: Exodus Topic: salvation atonement idolatry Scripture: Exodus 7:14-25

Are you trusting in the world or in God? When Moses and Aaron first went before Pharaoh on behalf of the Lord God and told Pharaoh to let God's people go to worship Him in the wilderness, Pharaoh scoffed "Who is the Lord that I should obey him?" Now, in response to Pharaoh's hardened heart, God will begin to show His power and might across the whole land of Egypt. This week we continue reading Exodus 7 and read of the first of the Ten Plagues of Egypt. We'll study the first plague when God turned the water of the Nile River to blood, and learn its significance to the Egyptian way of life and religion. Then we'll see how blood can be both a sign of judgement or a sign of salvation, and ask ourselves, is our trust in the ways of this world, or in the salvation that comes from Jesus Christ?
