What do you do when everything seems against you? God has stretched out His arm against Egypt to free His people from their bondage by striking the Nile River and overrunning the land with frogs. But Pharoah still hardened his heart and refused to let the Hebrews go. Next God will turn to the ubiquitous sand and bring the kingdom to a standstill with the smallest of insects. This week we continue reading Exodus 8 and the third of the Ten Plagues of Egypt. We'll study what the dust of the earth represents and the significance of God turning the dust to the plague of gnats. And we'll see the response of Pharaoh and the magicians of Egypt when they can no longer duplicate the plagues. Then we'll step back and ask ourselves what it is God wants us to let go of when we find our routines interrupted by the finger of God.
